Christmas Time!

That's right kids! It's Christmas tomorrow, the time in which Santa comes bearing new video game consoles and new games (well at least that's how I've always remembered it).

You may notice the amazing CHRISTMAS version of my website also. That's right, I added a Santa hat. Very time consuming.

Also, I've been given permission from the Good Game producer Janet Carr to host both "Death Of P_Nutz" and "The Pitch" in my cartoons section, so watch out for them soon!

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks!

Just a quick thank you to Tom Fulp of Newgrounds.com, for the plug on the front of NG about my work being on national TV. He also linked off to Good Game.

Also another thanks to Egoraptor for doing the same thing! :D

Thanks for the support people, I really appreciate it. That goes to everyone who comments and reads this blog.

Broadcast ID.

Above: Shit render of my assignment.

If you didn't already know this, I'm currently studying 3D animation with Maya. It's not something I would say I'm really enjoying at the moment, but then again I hated Flash when I started out.

I'm currently busting my balls to complete my first major assignment. It involved me creating a professinal broadcast ID. So pretty much, a 3D logo with animation.

I had it ready for animation, but the file corrupted... So I'm set back a bit with this. I'm making it based on Tetris so it can go with my new website when it's complete! It's looking rather spiffy so far.

The Pitch - Death Of P_NUTZ

Here it is! Both segments with my work in it.

For those of you that don't know, this aired on a gaming show called Good Game. The show is on national Australian TV and is also available for download at the Good Game website.

This was aired on their season 1 final, so it was a part of a one hour long show. I entered their competition as well as doing a small little freelance job for them by killing P_Nutz, their unwanted show mascot.

First off we have "The Pitch", a animation about the lack of originality in the gaming industry as of late. It's voiced entirely by Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson, a very talented, smart and remarkable individual! Best known for his "DBZ in a Nutshell" skit that went viral on the internet a few years back. I had a feeling I wouldn't actually win anything for making this, but I was really in it for the air time. Getting 2 animations on one episode of a show is mighty sexy!

The second of course is the P_Nutz death animation. A little something I did by the request of the producer Janet Carr.

Good Game Tomorrow Night!

You might remember me mentioning that I have some animated work airing on ABC2 tomorrow night! Tune in to Good Game - ABC2 - Tuesday December 12th. You'll require either a set top box or a Foxtel connection to watch. If you either can't view or do not live in Australia, don't worry. The show can be downloaded after the eastern states airing time! It's the season final of the show, so it's going to be a hour long.

Wai-Con 2006 - Perth

You might remember me mentioning that I was possibly going to the Wai-Con anime convention down here in Perth. Well I did.

I happened to be going the same time as the cosplaying competition, I felt embarrassed for a majority of the people. It was rather funny.

Sorry for the majority of footage being travel, but we did have about a 40-50 minute drive to get there...

Not that huge on anime myself, but I did have a fun time there.

I learned down there that there's going to be a Australian E3 type expo called "GO3", sounds very interesting!

Plans for a new Newgrounds animation.

Above: Animation concept art.

Yes that's right, I have plans for a new animation. The idea has been a thorn in the back of my head for some time now. It's just a short idea I had, fully animated of course. Just in planning stages for it now, no name as of yet. I was considering making a Christmas submission, but I have a lot on at the moment with class and all, so I dunno about that.

All I'll tell you is that this old drawing had something to do with the idea. Hopefully I can force myself to make it on the Christmas break.

Wii finally have it in Australia.

Last night I went out drinking with my mates, when half way through the night we get a call from a friend of ours saying he got his Wii early. He knew people working at EB and because of this he was able to get his when the shipment came in that night... Best of all he invited us over to play. Only thing was, me and my pal Justin were already quite drunk! Oh the fun we had. Played till late and I passed out on his couch. THE NEXT MORNING... I had to pick up my own Wii.

Well I have it now, I've played Zelda, Wii Sports and Wii Play. And I love it.

Above: Website screen shot.

Yes! As of yesterday afternoon RubberNinja.net has gone live!

It's not exactly fully complete, as you might notice the title and a few other things need some fixing, but besides that.. All is good!

Keep visiting for updates and be sure to bookmark it and check it frequently. I'll make it worth your while!

I lost my Wii-ginity

As you may or may not know, the Nintendo Wii is yet to be released in Australia. It's being released on the 7th and I've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Today I was lucky enough to get down to Garden City our local shopping center to play some Wii demos! I played Zelda, Wii Sports, Wario Ware and Wii Play. I loved the fishing in Zelda, addictive and fun! I broke the record for the biggest fish, mine was 35 inches! Can't wait to get mine on Thursday!

Also, here's a funny video I edited. The joke spawned from the Good Game IRC channel. Enjoy!

Also my website is near completion stages, I need to get it up ASAP.
